The Annual WELCA covered dish Epiphany Luncheon was held at noon on Saturday, February 1, 2014. Miriam Lang wrote in Resurrection Notes:
The “12 Days of Christmas” concluded in January when the Magi found Jesus and His family. According to Webster’s dictionary, Epiphany is “observed as a church festival in commemoration of the coming of the Magi as the first infestation of Christ to the Gentile.”
Our Epiphany Luncheon was well attended. Our own Kathie Hunter presented a program on what to expect on all aspects when preparing for surgery. We had interesting nativity creches and interesting stories of Christmas experiences.
