An ELCA Church serving the Augusta, Georgia area

Our Habitat For Humanity Project Almost Finished

Our Habitat for Humanity Project home is almost complete. Part of our ‘Forward on Faith’ Capital Campaign was the construction of a Habitat house. Project – 78, located at 2405 Par Drive in the Green Meadows subdivision, began on October 8 and will be completed around March 21, 2019.

Volunteer days are Tuesday and Thursday 8am to 12pm and Saturday 8am to 3pm.

There is a Saturday per month beginning in November that is reserved in the name of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. Those Saturdays are: November 10, December 8, January 19, February 23 and March 9. These Saturdays will remain reserved up and until seven to ten days prior to that particular date and then they will be open to other volunteers. If you are considering volunteering, now is the time to select your days.

The calendar has been opened on the Augusta Habitat website, so spots will fill up quickly.

Remember you must still sign up individually even though the Saturdays are reserved.
Go to their website and select the “Volunteer up” box to register and sign up for volunteer days. There is a construction calendar posted on the Witness/Service bulletin board in the Education Building hallway. There is also a calendar on the Augusta Habitat website.

If you have any questions contact Jim Thouvenot at 706-863-9417.
